Director of Materials Management
Full-Time Monday – Friday Days

Will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with leadership, physicians, and staff.
We are seeking a progressive, experienced, and service-oriented individual to lead its Materials Management Division.
Will play a key role in ensuring that the health system meets its strategic, operational, service, financial, and quality performance goals.
 The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all facets of a comprehensive supply chain program across several facilities.
This includes negotiating and contracting for the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and capital equipment, as well as, receiving, storing, and distributing supplies to multiple hospitals, nursing homes, and clinic locations.
Will play a key told in the development and implementation of cost improvement plans.
Will support various multidisciplinary teams to improve standardization and decrease variation and costs.
Will collaborate with the service contract management group.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
 A master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
Certification Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) is preferred.
Experience
Must have at least five (5) years of progressive materials management experience including at least three (3) years of related leadership experience for a hospital or healthcare system.
Must have a deep understanding and considerable expertise in hospital, nursing home, and physician group practice materials management operations including purchasing, receiving, storage distribution, inventory control, supply distribution, and budgeting.
 A strong background in surgical services products is preferred.
Must have experience with cost and inventory reduction programs within the department and in other areas such as surgical services.
Must have group purchasing contract implementation and management experience.
Should have experience in managing various values analysis teams and processes, such as surgical value analysis.
Must have extensive experience analyzing and negotiating purchase and service contracts.
Meditech experience preferred.
