We are recruiting a Hospital System Director of Security and Emergency Preparedness for a large expanding Healthcare System.

Salary 140-160K
Up to 25% Bonus

The Director of Security and Emergency Management Services directs the development, implementation and evaluation of both programs for the Healthcare System.
Reports to: Executive Director Facilities Management and Operations Support
*86 FTE’s in Security
*3 Program Managers in Emergency
*Ensures a secure environment for the patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and community through the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) and Business Continuity response plan to enable to the Healthcare System to continue with clinical/business operations should disruptive geopolitical events, natural disasters, crime and computer/human errors occur.
*Provides regional leadership and expertise across the area to include hospitals, ambulatory and urgent care centers, and business occupancies to include high-risk settings such as behavioral health settings, emergency departments, pediatric settings, NICUs, Women and Newborn services.
*Collaborates with community emergency/law enforcement response agencies to promote interoperability and coordinated crisis response and recovery plans.
*Prefer Certification as a Certified Disaster Recovery Planner (CDRP)
*Prefer Certification in Project Management (PMP)
*Must have experience in Process Improvement
*Must have financial acumen and be results oriented
*Must have a system level of thinking- this position is over 6 Hospitals and 150 Clinical sites.
*Must have Emergency Management Experience in Hospital or Healthcare – multi-site preferred
*Must have prior experience with creating the Emergency Plan for Hospital Disasters and Incident Command.


Must have a Bachelors Degree – Masters Preferred

Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA)  or other security professional certification preferred.
Active member in the International Association of Hospital Security and ASIS preferred.
Additional certifications such as; Master Exercise Practitioner, Certified Disaster Recovery Planner (CDRP), Emergency Management (FEMA), Project Management (PMP), Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery planner preferred.
Current Washington State Driver’s License; and proof of a safe driving record obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state or ability to obtain upon hire.

Added plus would be experience with a  Canine Program. Hospital just received their first Canine.
