About 2:45 p.m., the Citrus County Sheriff's Office communications center received a call reporting that a shooting that had just occurred on North Columbus St. in Beverly Hills. Inside the residence, deputies located 44 year-old Matthew Charles Driggers, who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Mr. Driggers was pronouncd deceased on scene by first responders with Citrus County Fire Rescue. Ms. Driggers is accused of shooting the victim, who was her uncle. Dylan John Gonzalez, 27, of Hudson, FL, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked as an habitual traffic offender, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($6,000 bond). Friday, December 30, 2022 Christopher Michael Haxton, 40, of Dunnellon, FL, was charged with criminal mischief with damages greater than $200 but less than $1,000 ($1,000 bond).
