ANATALIA VILLARANDA: What's up, y'all? I'm in Anatalia Villaranda. And this is In The Know, GlowUp Garage, where I show y'all how to do simple DIY car upgrades for an epic glowup. On today's episode, we're going to be installing car seats. All we got to do is just bolt it on, and it enhances your whole interior. The whole vibe--

Ah!

The tools you need are one driver's seat and one passenger seat, a ratchet, and if you need to make it easier for yourself, use an impact ratchet. OK, now let's get started. The first thing that we're going to do is, there's going to be four bolts that hold this seat down to the car, which is located two in the back and then two in the front. So I'm going to grab my handy dandy tools right over here. And I'm going to recline this chair so that we can get a better view of the bolts and start loosening these two bolts that are holding it down.

And now that it's broken loose. I'm going to grab my handy dandy power tools. If you guys do have power tools, it helps the process a lot more efficient because it's super fast. One out of four already done. And that took like less than 5 seconds. And then we're going to do the same thing to the other side. Then now we're going to recline the chair and then move on to the two front. And literally, that's almost about it.

Make sure you place all your bolts or your nuts in a place where you're not going to lose them because that's the most important part, because whenever I'm doing any car thing, I always end up losing at least one bolt. So that's not the best idea to do. So always play somewhere you're going to remember where you put them.

And bada bing bada boom. Look at this. This was the last bolt. And watch. All you have to do left is pull it out, and it will literally just come right out. Oh, don't hit anything.

[LAUGHS]

We made it. Oh no. I did not know how much work that was to carry that chair. Oh my gosh, I'm out of shape. First of all, we got to make sure that these brackets line up. That is the most important part. Sometimes your bracket won't line up. That means you got a problem. That means you got to get a new bracket. But in this case, we got a good old bracket that fits this car, made for this car, made for this seat.

So now that we got the chair in and basically on the car, we got to make sure that it's bolted on. So we're going to grab our bolts that were in our designated area that we don't lose them. And we're just going to actually hand tighten them first before we start using the power tool.

And actually before I do all of them, I want to hand tighten them all just because when we go-- with the power tools, they're just going to slowly sink into their designated positions. It's reaching the one in the back. This chair specifically when we're putting in, this is actually called bucket seat. And bucket seats, fun fact, actually have a different seat belt, a little contraption. So you won't be using this one. We'll be putting seat harnesses in which actually connect to a roll cage.

A roll cage is going to be set in the back. And then the harnesses are bolted on to the roll cage, which the roll cage is bolted on the car. Now we're going to grab our handy dandy power tool and start pushing them now.

Since the power tool did not fit right under here, we're going to be using the ratchet to tighten the last bolt on to the car. And remember righty tighty, lefty loosey.

And bada bing, bada boom. The chair is installed. Now we can move on to install the passenger side seat.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

And that is it, y'all, to installing new seats in your car, all you have to do is unbolt them, take the old ones out, put new ones in, and then bolt them back on. That's literally it. Don't forget, if you do have bucket seats, you have to have a roll cage and seating-- a seatbelt harnesses. And you have to make sure you have those if you do have a bucket seat. So be safe, get creative, and have fun, y'all.
